The residents of Two Rivers Nursing Home, Trent Campus celebrates an early Easter.
The celebratory affair is hosted by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Iota Sigma Zeta Chapter of New Bern, North Carolina. The event is kicked off by greetings from the chapter President, Verna Okali.

| features the Iota “Hoping Bunnies”. The bunnies are decked out in colorful rabbit ears and fluffy white Peter Cottons tails. These delightful bunnies are Kamica Way, Daughter of Sister Sudie S. Way, Kamika Strictland and Kathy Waters, friends of Kamica Way and Desiree’, niece of Sister Betty Murphy. |
The Bunnies are the life of the party. They hop down the bunny trail to the tune of “Here comes Peter Cotton Tail”, play Bingo with the residents, and deliver Easter baskets to all residents throughout the Nursing Home.
Easter facts and stories are read and dramatized by Betty Murphy. Story time is followed by group singing of Easter Hymns and songs.
Refreshments are served by Amica Pauline White and Sister Sudie Way. The residents are treated with home made pound cake decorated with white icing and big colorful Easter Bunnies. The Cakes and Punch are made by Sudie Way.
Many gifts are given to the residents and each resident received an Easter Basket. A 26” Tall Easter Card is presented to the residents by the chapter wishing everyone a Happy Easter from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
This activity is one of several Community Service Programs planned throughout the year.
